Four Teenagers Arrested Over Brad Pitt Home Burglary

August 13, 2025

Police have arrested four teenagers in connection with the Brad Pitt home burglary. Authorities say the same suspects also targeted other celebrity homes across Los Angeles. LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell identified them as two 18-year-old men, a 17-year-old, and a 16-year-old. All are street gang members. Officers recovered stolen property when they searched the suspects’ homes.

Other high-profile victims this year include Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, LA Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and former LAFC striker Olivier Giroud. The investigation began in late June after three masked thieves raided Pitt’s Los Feliz home. They reportedly jumped a perimeter fence, broke a window, and entered the property before escaping with stolen items.

The LAPD has not officially confirmed the home belongs to Pitt, but the address matches a property he purchased in 2023. The three-bedroom house sits just outside Griffith Park near the Hollywood Sign, surrounded by fencing and greenery for privacy. At the time of the burglary, Pitt was away promoting his new film, F1.

Last week, detectives tracked the suspects and took them into custody on burglary charges. Police have not revealed what items they recovered. According to McDonnell, the group used advanced tactics. They hid surveillance cameras in nearby flowerbeds or across the street to watch the victims’ daily routines. They also used wi-fi jammers to disable security systems.

McDonnell warned that public figures face higher risks because their schedules are often public. However, he also urged ordinary residents to be careful. Posting travel plans on social media can give thieves the perfect opportunity. “While we want our friends to know where we are and what we’re doing, you’re telling everybody else who may be looking to exploit your situation,” he said. The case highlights the growing sophistication of organized burglary crews and the need for strong home security measures.
